The Second half of Season 1
*SPOILER ALERT*
If you haven't watched Stargate Universe or SGU yet (Hello? Why haven't you?!) this trailer will spoil plot points from the first half of the season.
Here we go:
I watched this and I had goosebumps and my mind was going "SQUEE!" I cannot wait! This show is a worthy successor. I still want the third SG-1 movie and SGA movie to happen though. MGM I'm looking at you!
First half was great but now it seems it's kicking into high gear and bringing the spirit of it's two predecessors Stargate Atlantis (SGA) and Stargate SG-1 (SG-1) into the coctail as it were.

First, the first half of the season was NOT great, and in fact if the second half does as badly as the first half in ratings, this show has no future beyond season 2.
Second, this trailer is misleading because its a MONTAGE of collected scenes from several of the secons half episodes. The aliens in the trailer are not that impressive, and we already know that the producers have specifically stated that they will NOT be dealt with in SG-1 or SGA fashion, but in a "Universe fashion".
Third, Stargate fans are not nearly as superficial as SGU fans, and we can see that the purpose of the trailer is to draw us (real Stargate fans) back in. The original plan assumed that at least part of the original fanbase would accept this show and that was a big mistake. This trailer is meant to appeal to the original fanbase, and thats why its action/battle/alien heavy. When the actual episode airs, it will be as the premiere was...a dissapointment.
BUT, viewers will watch and I will also watch...just to see if they deliver. SyFy will crow about increased viewership in a press release, but by episode 13, it will be back in the tank.
